The First Baptist Church of Redlands serves its community in a variety of ways. Here's a snapshot of what we do:

The Miller-Trayhern Scholarship Fund was founded in 1969 by donations from the family of the late Phyllis Miller and Dr. Ward S. Miller. The fund may be used for those pursuing an undergraduate degree or a post-graduate degree.

Applicants may be in any year of their degree program this coming fall term and it is not necessary that they be associated with The First Baptist Church of Redlands or a Baptist denomination. This scholarship is intended for applicants who are typically 28 years of age or younger who have demonstrated their Christian commitment through active participation in the church of which they have been a member; demonstrated serious regard for their academic studies, and demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to applicants who have exhibited a serious regard for their studies as demonstrated in their scholastic record during the previous academic year, who have been actively involved at the First Baptist Church of Redlands and who have indicated an interest in Christian ministry or a church related vocation.

Completed application and required paperwork must be submitted or postmarked by June 15. A new application is required for each year. To apply, fill out this form and submit your application to the church office. Forms can also be picked up in the church office. Please contact 909-793-3289 for more information.

Care Packages

In an effort to remember, encourage, and continue to include our young people in the life of our church, we send care packages several times a year — when school starts, just before midterms, and again at finals. Donations of gift cards to Starbucks or Amazon, gum, tea bags, hot cocoa mix, school supplies like highlighters, pens, mechanical pencils or post-it notes, blank greeting cards or cash donations will be accepted at any time, and can be left in the church office labeled “College Care Packages.”

Family Service Day

Join us on the first Saturday of every month, from 9 a.m. to noon, to serve at a wonderful local non-profit, Redlands Family Service. Serving activities vary from organizing the homeless food pantry to sorting clothing donations.

E. S. Foote Library

The First Baptist Church of Redlands houses the E.S. Foote Library which maintains a collection of more than 4,000 books, DVDs, and videos for all ages. Collections include children, young adults, biographies, devotional, fiction, non-fiction, and special interests. In addition, the library has an extensive theological collection. The library also has a collection of rare books that were donated by missionaries in Burma, India, Africa, and throughout the world.

Library Hours:
Sundays from 8:45 a.m. to noon (September - June).
