This thoughtful seminar will take a look at some contemporary issues from science and Christianity regarding creation. The seminar includes something for all ages:
- Children's Dinosaur Camp. Full children's programming with meals, dinosaur take home games and kits, and materials.
- A scientific understanding of the origin and development of the universe and of life.
- Understanding biblical passages and their application to contemporary issues - examples from the book of Genesis.
- Taking both Christianity and science perspectives seriously.
- An important recent movement - Intelligent Design.
- How science and Christianity can work together as partners.
Our presenters will be Dr. Richard Carlson, Research Professor of Physics at the University of Redlands and Jason Hine, both Christians. Carlson has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Minnesota as well as an M.A. in Theology from Fuller Seminary. He is a Recipient of Templeton Prize for Courses in Science and Theology. Hine has a B.S. in Natural Resource
Management from Colorado State University as well as an A.S. in Environmental Science from Berkshire Community College.
