Campus by the Sea (CBS) is a non-profit camp operated by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. CBS is located on Catalina Island, three miles west of the town of Avalon. Its secluded beach is nestled between two mountain ridges. The only access to camp is by boat or hiking, as there is no road into camp. CBS provides a setting for retreats that is free from many of the mainland “distractions.” It is a place to appreciate nature and enjoy a simple lifestyle.
While at CBS, we will enjoy opportunities to connect, recreate, study, play, and eat together. With hiking, beachfront activities, basketball, volley ball, ping pong, and a children's playground area there is something for everyone who is looking to get away and enjoy the outdoors.
Informal worship times together will be family-friendly, and supervised activities will be offered for children and youth during the optional adult sessions. Meals will be provided from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Please inform our staff with vegetarian meal requests and special accommodation needs. Sleeping will be in enclosed cabins, open air cabins, or tents.
Youth in 6th-12th grade will participate in their session program: “How to Avoid Being a Pansy: Learn to Pray Like You Mean It.”
All inclusive package includes: roundtrip boat transportation, 6 meals, lodging and retreat materials.
Retreat is limited to 65 people. Make checks payable to “FBCR” and submitted in full with your
