Our Adult Ministries provide opportunities for each man and woman to develop in Christ, build their faith, and encourage one another.
The Men's Breakfast is every Monday morning at Plymouth Village.
The Men's Fellowship meets every third Wednesday.
The Miriam Circle meets every third Wednesday at noon.
The American Baptist Women are dedication to local and global missions. They organize several events throughout the year to help women connect and serve.
Spring Sunday programs for adults:
Agape Class (intergenerational)
This class meets in Judson Hall. They will be continuing their exploration and discussion with the book “The Divine Dance”. Richard Rohr shares his exploration into the sacred and challenges of ‘The Trinity and Your Transformation.’ This book study is led by Dr. Josh Morgan.
Meets in one of the Field Hall classrooms. This class is led by Anne Sandal and Robert Hayden and uses the Formations book.
Lectionary Class (intergenerational)
Meets in the Field Hall. Dr. Sunny Hyon, along with others, leads discussion regarding all four of the lectionary texts prescribed for each specific Sunday. They explore the theme of the texts, the similarities and differences and the scripture texts themselves.
Corner Booth Class (Men's group)
Meets at the tables in the patio area. Ben Dillow leads a discussion and exploration for the practical implications raised by the previous week’s sermon. It gives the class participants a chance to examine what we each hear and carry away from the sermon and the text.
Meets in David's Corner. This class is facilitated, through discussion and questions by Pastor Deena Barwick about the prescribed lectionary text for the Sunday sermon.
Meets in the Heritage Room. This class is led by Dr. Mark Estey and they use a Richard Rohr book and CD recording as a guide.
Fall Thursday programs for adults:
"Passages of Peace: A Time of Spiritual Meditation"
Led by Ellie Huynh, Mary Wolfe and Hilary Craw, the class will continue in the Chapel on Thursday nights from 7:00-7:45 through June 1st. We invite all to come for a time of tranquil reflection and meditation based on scripture and relaxing yoga practice. We encourage you to join us even if have never tried yoga or if you just need a quiet space to just breathe and be.
